     Multifaceted programs featuring world premieres, im-provisations and arrangements drawn from a repertoire rich in songs and violin compositions make the concert performances of Swiss flutist Philipp Jundt very special experiences. The warmth of his tone paired with his great dynamic expressiveness has captivated audi-ences around the world. For the last decade Jundt has crisscrossed Asia, Europe and North America. In addi-tion to his concert performances and teaching duties he has passionately devoted himself to arranging—his cur-rent project is a series of new arrangements of selected songs by Johannes Brahms for flute and piano.

     As a soloist Philipp Jundt has been a guest of the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, Camerata Zurich, Bern Chamber Orchestra, Camerata Munich, Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, Kammerorchester Basel, the Chamber Music Orchestra of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Davos Music Festival, the Gyonggi-Do Philharmonic Orchestra, the Seoul Wind Orchestra and the Korea Symphony Orchestra in Seoul.

     The flutist has performed under renowned conductors like Sir Colin Davies, Christoph Eschenbach, Val-ery Gergiev, Alexander Lazarev, Fabio Luisi, Lorin Maazel, Zubin Metha, Krzysztof Penderecki, Helmut Rilling, Jukka-Pekka Saraste and Jeffrey Tate.

     This season Philipp Jundt and the New Zurich Orchestra will embark on a tour of Switzerland and Asia, performing Joaquín Rodrigo’s Concierto pastoral for flute and orchestra at concerts in Seoul, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore and more. The high point will be the debut in Tokyo’s famed Suntory Hall. In addition to a recital evening in Seoul a number of festivals round out the flutist’s concert calendar, in particular the Sir James Galway Flute Festival in Weggis, Switzerland in July and the International Flute Festival Salerno in Italy. Furthermore he has been appointed as a member of the Jury at the IV In-terational Flute Competition Severino Gazelloni and this fall he will premiere Marco Hertensteins “Agnetes Traum” for Flute and Piano at the international Kuhlau Festival in Tokio. The first Korean Sir James Gal-way Flute Festival is planned for 2016. In fall of the same year the first Gonijam Valley Music Festival will also take place. Philipp Jundt is a co-founder of this ambitious project and has been named its artistic di-rector.

     Philipp Jundt was the first solo flutist for the KBS Symphony Orchestra Seoul, Korea’s oldest and most important radio orchestra. He has also performed with the Munich Philharmonic, Seoul Philharmonic, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Stuttgart Philharmonic and the Bavarian State Orchestra.

     Philipp Jundt received his first flute lessons from Kiyoshi Kasai and Aurèle Nicolet. He studied under An-drás Adorján in Munich and under Jeanne Baxtresser in Pittsburgh and Boston. He completed his training in Munich with the distinguished Meisterklassenpodium. At the same time he completed his study of eco-nomics at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and Harvard University in Boston, where he earned a bachelor’s degree.

     During his studies Philipp Jundt began forging ties with young composers that have endured to this day. The composers Marco Hertenstein and Barbara Croall have dedicated many works to him, including Hertenstein’s Concert for Flute and Orchestra and Croal’s Noodin. Their fertile collaborations yielded con-cert tours in the USA, Canada, and Switzerland. Toronto’s Ergo Ensemble, co-founded by Jundt, has made a name for itself internationally, commissioning more than 40 new compositions and premiering them all over the world.

     Philipp Jundt is a regular guest at international music festivals like the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Niagara International Chamber Music Festival (Canada), Young Artists In Concert (Davos), ADE-vantgarde Festival (Munich), ConTakt Toronto, Academy of the West (Santa Barbara, CA), Kagaan Mus-ikfestival Kreuth, Murten Classics (Switzerland), Rheingau Musikfestival (Germany), the Tongyeong Festi-val and the Pacific Music Festival in Japan. His chamber music partners include Niels Mönkemeyer, Se-bastian Klinger, Freddy Kempf, members of the Oliver Schnyder Trio, Henrik Wiese, Galina Vracheva, Fabio di Casola and Esther Hoppe.

     In addition to concert performances, his teaching activities have been an important and rewarding part of his career for many years. Since 2008 Philipp Jundt has held a professorship for the flute at the German School of Music Weimar, a joint endeavor of the Liszt School of Music Weimar and Kangnam University in Korea. His students have won competitions and orchestra chairs around the world. Jundt is also a guest lecturer for master classes in Greece, Korea and New York as well as at the Barenboim-Said Foun-dation in Ramallah, Israel.

     Since 2012 he has served as the director of the Korean Flute Educator’s Association.

     He made his CD debut in 2002 with a recording of Swiss flute concerts on the English label Guild. The flutist has also lent his talents to many radio and television productions around the world, especially for the Canadian broadcaster CBC with his Toronto-based Ergo Ensemble.

  연주자와 교육자로서의 역할을 균형 있게 소화해 내며 세계 무대에서 활발히 활동하고 있는 플루티스트 필립 윤트는 유럽, 아시아, 북미를 누리며 따뜻한 음색과 역동적인 연주로 국제적으로 많은 사랑을 받아 오고 있다.

  솔로이스트로서 그간 스위스 톤 할레 오케스트라, 카메라타 취리히, 베른 체임버 오케스트라, 카메라타 뮌헨, 리투아니안 체임버 오케스트라, 캄머 오케스트라 바젤, 더 슐레비히-홀스타인 음악 페스티벌 체임버, 경기필하모닉 오케스트라, 서울 윈드 오케스트라, 코리안 심포니 오케스트라 등과 함께 연주하였으며 콜린 데이비스경, 크리스토프 에센바흐, 발레리 게르기에프, 알렉산더 라차레이, 파비오 루이지, 로린 마젤, 주빈 메타, 크리스토프 펜데레츠키, 헬무트 릴링, 유카-페카 사라스테, 제프리 테이트 등 세계적인 거장 지휘자들과 함께 호흡을 맞추며 중요한 무대에 자주 오르고 있다. 또한 KBS 교향악단의 수석 플루트 수석이자 뮌헨 필하모닉, 뮌헨 챔버 오케스트라, 슈투트가르트 필하모닉, 바이에른 주립 오케스트라 등의 단원으로 활동하였고, 서울 시립교향악단의 객원 단원으로도 활동하였다.

  국내에서는 서울을 중심으로 다양한 활동을 진행하며, 지난 7월에는 스위스 베기스에서 개최된 제임스 골웨이 플루트 페스티벌에 참여하였고, 8월에는 이탈리아 살레르노 국제 페스티벌, 9월에는 이탈리아 국제 플루트 콩쿠르 “세베리노 가첼로니”의 심사위원으로 위촉되었다. 2016년에는 필립 윤트가 예술감독으로 참여하게 되는 제1회 곤지암 뮤직 페스티벌과 행사의 일환인 제임스 골웨이 페스티벌을 성황리에 개최하였다.

  그의 첫 음악 레슨은 키요시 카사이 선생으로부터였고 이후 오렐 니콜레, 안드레스 아도리앙을 사사한 후 피츠버그와 보스턴에서는 잔 박스트레서를 사사하였다. 뮌헨에서 전문연주자과정을 마치며 단단한 기반을 마련함과 동시에 뮌헨의 루드비히 막시밀리안 대학교와 보스턴의 하버드 대학에서 경제학 학사 학위를 취득하였다.

  필립 윤트는 젊은 작곡가인 마르코 헤루텐슈타인과 바바라 크롤링과 함께 음악 활동을 하였는데 이들과 함께 “플루트와 오케스트라를 위한 협주곡”과 “Noodin”이라는 작품을 만들었고 미국, 캐나다, 스위스에서 이들 작품으로 순회 콘서트를 펼쳤다.

  그는 독일의 슐레비히 홀슈타인 뮤직 페스티벌, 캐나다의 나이아가라 국제 실내악 페스티벌, 다보스의 영 아티스트 콘서트, 산타바바라의 아카데미 오브 웨스트, 스위스의 Murten Classics, 독일 라인가우 뮤직 페스티벌, 일본의 퍼시픽 뮤직 페스티벌 등 주요한 페스티벌에 초청되어 연주하고 있으며 실내악 연주자로서 닐스 왼케마이어, 세바스찬 클링어, 프레디 켐프, 트리오 올리오, 파비오 디 카솔라, 에스더 호페 등과 함께 연주활동을 이어가고 있다.

  또한 그리스, 뉴욕, 그리고 이스라엘 라말라의 바렌보임 사이드 재단 등에서 열리는 각종 마스터 클래스의 초청 강사로도 활동하고 있고 2012년에 Guild를 통해 첫 데뷔 음반으로 스위스 플루트 협주곡을 발매하면서 많은 라이브 방송과 TV 프로그램에 출연하였는데 특히 캐나다의 CBC 방송에는 에르고 앙상블과 함께 연주하여 호평을 받았다.

  그의 음악적인 다양한 경험과 커리어를 연주와 교육에 함께 헌신하고자 2008년부터 강남대학교 독일 바이마르학부 교수로 부임하여 후학 양성에 힘쓰고 있으며 2017년부터는 스위스 뇌샤텔 음악원에 새롭게 교수로 부임할 예정이다.

  또한 필립 윤트는 현재 한국 플루트 교육자 협회 이사를 맡고 있으며 2016년부터 스위스 한국 문화 협회 의장으로 한국과 스위스 문화 교류 발전에 기여하고 있다. 한국에서는 현재 봄아트프로젝트 아티스트로 활동하며 알버트 쿠퍼 플루트를 사용하고 있다.

      Philipp Jundt，瑞士长笛演奏家，因其演奏的作品改编自歌曲和小提琴作品而与众不同。最初跟随Kiyoshi Kasai 和 Aurèle Nicolet学习长笛。在慕尼黑路德维希马克西米利安大学与哈佛大学取得经济学学位。在学习期间Philipp Jundt与青年作曲家Marco Hertenstein 、Barbara Croall等密切合作，如今已经为他创作了许多作品。

     过去十年，Philipp Jundt的足迹遍布亚洲、亚洲和北美洲。合作过的知名指挥家有：Colin Davies、Christoph Eschenbach、Valery Gergiev等。合作的乐团有：巴伐利亚交响乐团、慕尼黑爱乐乐团、斯图加特爱乐乐团、慕尼黑室内管弦乐团、首尔KBS交响乐团等。

自2012起，Philipp Jundt担任瑞士韩国文化协会主席，自2016以来，担任瑞士韩国文化协会总裁。

Philipp Jundt自2002年录制CD,由索尼古典音乐制作发行，2017年4月将与丹尼尔·霍普、苏黎世室内乐团共同录制巴赫特里普协奏曲。此外他经常参与广播和电视节目，如加拿大广播公司CBC.
